Ursa Major

Overwhelmed with the challenges

I remove-

Shift outside

look up.

The constant of constellations,

Arching position with seasons

Reminding me,

An observer and participant in His plan,

Tethered to the realities of mortality,

Itchy mosquito bites, cheeks damp with tears,

Mouth dry from prayers

And longing for the security of

an embrace.

The mantle of responsibility lifted.

I am heard.
