As habitual quitter, you know that it’s not day one the that’s hard. It’s the next day, and the day after, and the rest of the days that you are trying to change. You know, because you have had a lot of day ones.
On day one, you are determined, and motivated to become better. You are capable of more, and you are going to prove that this time it is different than your other failed attempts. This time, you have learned. This time, you will avoid your usual triggers. This time, you are granite. This time…
The other times you failed do not matter. You were preparing for this day one. You know that it will take time to see results, and you are committed to your goal. You are strong. You will hush the critic in your mind with action.
Today is the last day one.
You just need to make it through the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that.
